Abstract.

In recent years, users are exposed to much information of movies. Therefore, efficient recommend system is required. In this paper, we proposed method to improve the recommendation performance. Most of previous studies used only users’ ratings, not considering movies’ innate characteristics. To consider such characteristics, we propose a recommendation approach using movie genre information and plot information; we evaluate the proposed method through several experiments. Experimental results show a performance improvement over other recommendation methods using only ratings information.
